  7. Can you post information and share it out for others to have access to (like the lunch menu)?

  8. I've asked this of Schoolwires and will post the response.

  9. Looks like EdLine compreses the heck out of videos to save space on their servers. Unfortunately, this produces movies that look pretty bad when viewed fullscreen.

At least they use FlowPlayer (our current Plone solution) which offers fullscreen viewing, unlike SchoolWires. Conversion process is taking a while.

  10. Tried the "edit this page" button to make some changes to the test video page and the editor is not showing up...

The SchoolWires editor is significantly better and easier to use. Better selection of tools and the option to easily edit HTMP tag attributes for folks that are interested. EdLine's editor seems very clunky by comparison. No clip art either.

  11. Everything was going well for the editing. I was able to quickly post an announcement (much better than the Plone editor) and change some of the text boxes.

However, when I tried to upload a video it took forever and then just kind of froze-up. I very well might have done it incorrectly, but I couldn't intuitively figure out how to get the video to load.

I also had a difficult time changing the clip-art on the front page.

  12. The photo slideshow presentation is much much nicer than the SchoolWires one. Very modern. Plus you can batch upload photos which is a plus.

5 hours after my test video upload and it is still not displaying. "Video is being converted and is not available right now. Try again later"

  13. Is Edline for grades or for a website? I didn't find any gradebook here.

  14. I found Edline much easier to use for the average teacher who just wants to quickly update verbage, not post video. I spent some time looking at other school districts' websites that use Edline and Schoolwires and was disappointed to see there isn't much participation by teachers, no matter which platform (a symptom of our full and busy jobs, perhaps??)

  15. Hmm, guess the video conversion didn't go so well...

  16. "Edit this page" doesn't seem to work when going back to edit existing pages.

In FireFox, the editor toolbar shows up, but text on page is not editable.

In Safari, the editor toolbar does not show up at all.

Can someone else give this a try to see if they have a different (hopefully better) experience?

    Don

  17. Blog display is a little funky with the first post. The image is slopping outside of the blog entry area! Check out the embedded video via Vimeo! This is how video should look!
